    Preferred handgun to carry

Hey guys, just wanted to start up a discussion for your personal, preferred handgun to carry on your person. If possible, throw up a picture(I will be when I get home).

    So, on that note:
I've been open carrying(Las Vegas) my Springfield XD 9 4" and I'm very happy with the weight over all. It doesn't feel like a brick but doesn't let you forget it's there either. Very comfortable gun to shoot and ergonomics, for me, seem like they are made for me. Love this gun.

    For summer carry a Glock 26, Keltec P32, S&W Model 49 Bodyguard.

    For winter carry a Glock 29, S&W 610 (3") or a S&W 25-14 (2.5")

While the revolvers can be fired single action all six, while somewhat different can be fired by simply pulling the trigger. I like commonality.

    S&W M25-14 (45 ACP)

    Glock 29 (10mm)

    S&W M 610 (10mm)

Like gpwasr10, I carry a XD-9SC concealed most of the time. Light and comfortable to wear with shorts and a tank top. In the winter time, I some times carry either my Beretta 92FS or my G21. I have more cover with jackets and long sleeve shirts.

Depends. Most of the time it's this:

PF-9 (goes into a crossbreed holster)

But sometimes when I'm walking the dog, I'll slip this into an old pocket type IWB holster with the clip removed (just to cover the trigger and protect most of it from my toxic sweat)

    S&W 4586

Its surprising how well this big heavy pistol conceals with just a t-shirt worn untucked. Kinda like a 1911 - its flat enough not to print too much.

I have different handguns for different times of the year, and different stages of CC...
Mak, 2 snubbies, 2 sigs, para 1911, beretta, but since I got my glock 19 a year ago, I really have had no will to carry anything else.

I do the same thing; it seems lighter = summer. Lighter usually being a M59. Colder weather is 1911-A1s, High Power etc.

    No speak Glock. lol

I have to admit, I don't have a CCW, yet. I will when I get back to Washington. Here in Califonia it is too hard. But I plan on carrying my G19. I like the size and weight, and I love the way it shoots.

I didnt for years either. Didnt like em at all, just didnt feel right in my hand.
Then I shot a friends 19, and for some reason it just clicked with me.
Maybe because all the glocks I shot before were 40 or 45, but the 19 in 9mm just shot the way it should...

My father is a die hard 1911 man, I mean religous about em..
When I told him that the last year I ONLY carry the glock and love it, he said that telling him that was as bad as a son telling his father he is gay..
    haha...

The trigger can be replaced; however, grip to axis is wrong for me.

I know what you mean; mine about lost it when he saw a 9mm on me. I thought of telling him if he'd spend more time practicing he could enjoy the lighter weight.

    But nah.... lol

    Lightbulb

Over all, all around favorite is my Glock 19. 2nd most liked for carry is my Glock 21. 3rd fave to cary is a 1911. The 1911 was the first type I ever carried CCW, but the simplicity of the 19 for ccw wins me over. Lighter, more shots, mechanically simple and much more corrosion proof. It's as accurate as a laser beam, it hits where I point it. +P Speer Gold dots, (124 gr.) are the preferred CCW round in it.

Tell me about the trigger pull and everything else that you can. I ask b/c I've considered a 3953 b/c it is cheaper than a 3913.

    Thanks
