got the one last saturday morning. went christmas eve and was walking out of the woods and a herd of about 12 came across the creek and headed out in a field in front of me. my buddy was hollering you missed them! but he did not see the last two, and i hollered back NO I DID'NT!!! and shot. instead of one deer falling to the groud two did! i was focused on one and did not see the other behind it. just to let everyone know, a 30-30 has some knock down power and penatrated pretty dang good if i do say so myself. lol

wish i still lived in Ga. sometimes there are some monsters in macon Ga. were i'm from my dads killed some big deer off the olkmogee river and off of the st.clair river in eatenton area think thats how you spell it, lol

thats crazy full otto!!! some people say( like Eddie310) that there are no trophy deer around north ala. and tennessee, but they are full of crap! just because the the hunting resreves up north and out west feed there deer alot of calcium and thats mainly how they get non typical deer does not mean that you will not run across one or two were i'm at. about 5 to 6 years back a man were i used to hunt dropped a 32 point non-typical in the bankhead forest on managment area land. there out there people just do not take the time to hunt or to scout around down hear.
