    First firearm purchase of 2013

Since AR15s and AKs are rare as hen's teeth and more expensive than a mouth full of gold hen's teeth, I figured it is time to start concentrating on other types of guns that have been on my wishlist. Hence, my first purchase of the new year: Savage MK II-FVSR bolt-action .22LR. It has a 16.5" heavy fluted threaded barrel, raised rail, Accu-trigger, and over-sized bolt knob from the factory. It came with one little 5-round magazine. I had an Ultralux 6x42 scope laying around that I will use with it. I can't wait to shoot this beauty!

    Nice!

I have an old Savage MarkII and not only was it amazingly accurate right out of the box, it is a garbage disposal for any ammo that my semi-autos don't like to shoot.

great guns. I bought one before they had this threaded version. Paid another 150 to have it cut down and threaded for my can. I put a 20 MOA scope base on it to compensate for bullet drop at long range.

I kind of like the atmosphere out ther now, lots of people looking around, and lots that want to make
deals. My recent deal is a trade. I have an older Wards Westernfield 410 bolt shotgun (made by Mossberg)
Traded for really nice Marlin model 60 semi .22 tubefeeder. I traded a surplus milsurp day pack for the 410.
I have a mossberg 500A1 with 2 barrels that I have up next, see what kind of 308 I can get in a trade.
