    Swedish Mauser 96. Pics...

I have had this one for quite some time but it never sees daylight because of a missing screw ahead of the magazine. Since things are slow in here and I had the rifle out to take pics for a want ad posting to find the missing screw i figure i would share the rest of the rifle with you guys. I bought this rifle in the winter of 2001 for $75 and it has sat in my safe since then. The bore is as near perfect as you could ask for. Came with the bayonet and a sling. The sling was totally disgusting. I still have it but a new one will be in order. It was unworthy of pics.

Yes the rifle is still covered in grease from storage. I will give it a more thorough cleaning before firing.

Lastly where I am missing the screw

Nice, the M38 Swedish Mauser was my first C&R class weapon. Loved the Swedish rifles in 6.5x55, very accurate.

I attempted to place the order but the shipping is $44 to Nova Scotia for one screw. I am going to call them later to see if that is an error. If it is the correct rate I will be getting it elsewhere. They had better be packing it in a box the size of a Microwave oven and sending it overnight for that price. Thanks for the link though.
