Aaron1100us, when people ask me how far my belief in the second amendment is, I tell them that if I had my way I would have an A10 Warthog if I could figure out how to afford the fuel. As a pilot and federally licensed aircraft mechanic, owning one would be just as cool as having a true Kalashnikov.

VIT, The stock works perfectly. What is funny is that I have the wrong buffer in the tube for 9mm.
The hammer won't lock back in semi auto but the gun functions perfectly with.he use of the stock in fun mode.

What I want is a buffer that can be used in 9mm and 223.
I want to be able to just switch uppers and install a mag block. less than 30 sec from 223 to 9mm.

Cool M17s. I plan on modding mine out this year with a flat top rail, bottom forend rail, and meuller 1-4x scope.

These things look great modded with a flat-top rail. They should have come like that instead of having a carrying handle, IMO. The rail on top of the carrying handle is way too high for getting a good sight picture. I would mod the hell out of mine if I had a second one to keep as a safe queen in original condition.

Bushmaster M17S, as Partisan said. 2005 was the last year of production for them. Incidentally, I had always wanted one but the minute I read the statement from Bushmaster saying that they were ceasing production of them I got off my butt and placed an order for the one you see here. I believe it was around $700 NIB.
