So tell me about the stocks, they look nice. Also what holster is that?

The stocks are factory cocobolo half checkered...seen them and had to have them. I had a Hogue wrap-around which actually is a better feel grip-wise, but those wood ones are much better looking.
The holster is an El Paso Saddlery that is actually for my Glock 20 but the CZ also fits nicely in it....plus I have a laser on the Glock so it no longer fits the holster. I've got a nice Bianchi specifically for the CZ but the leather holster is more photogenic.

Thanks for the reply.

Always interested in CZ's. I've got a 97B, 75 Tactical Sport in 9x19 and a 75B. The 75B was my first CZ. Bought it 18 years ago next month. It's one of the Turkish overruns from 1996. Don't recall now if it was police or military overrun but it was never issued. Got it from the old Burns Brothers on Long Island. Came with one 10rd and one 15rd mag. I've got the original box and receipt. Cost me $356.39 including shipping and transfer.
Only thing I've done other than shoot the hell out of it was to swap the plastic stocks for the set of Uncle Mike's it's wearing now.

The one I had previously was a pre-B
Still regret getting rid of that one.
I also have a CZ 40B
That one's a keeper best .40 I ever shot and the trigger has worn in beautifully...awesome pistol.
and a Tanfoglio made EAA EA-9, a very early made pre-Witness clone
Oddly enough I currently have those same exact Uncle Mike's grips on the EA-9 but am going to put the Hogue back on.

Nice! That CZ 40B was a CZ/Colt collaboration wasn't it?

Yes it was...it was supposed to be the Colt Z40 but for a variety of reasons the deal fell through. Rather than just take a total loss CZ sold them as the CZ-40B to use up the inventory of parts, even after the frames were gone they still had some slides left over that were mated to P-01 frames to create the CZ-40P.
Though it's basically a CZ-75 that looks sorta 1911ish there are differences. The most significant being the barrel lock-up, unlike the 75 that uses lugs on the barrel the 40B is similar to Sig and Glock designs were the chamber locks into the slide top and ejection port. This made the 40Bs slide and barrel incompatible with CZ's other models like the 75. So when the parts were gone they dropped it from the line-up.
The design does still live on with the CZ RAMI, it was supposed to be the compact companion of the Z40, and since it filled a niche that wasn't covered by their other models it went into production and as far as I know is still being produced.

My 1994 CZ-75 "Transitional".
It's got a "B" lower (the newer type) with the older "A" upper.
The firing pin and spring are retained with a plate just like the M1911 (whereas the newer "B" upper used on post-94 CZ-75B pistols uses a cross roll pin to retain it).
It's a very nicely balanced and accurate pistol. I like it almost as much as my Beretta M9.
Gentlemen may prefer Blondes, but Real Men prefer Redheads!
They can be got straight from CZ....if you can ever find them actually in stock.
I got those off flea-bay......a few dollars more but they threw in new screws. All in nice CZ wrappers.
Just something about the beauty of wood and steel, plastic pistols may work just as well but they'll never have that look or feel.
