Palm Pistol Completes 10,000 Round Endurance Testing

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - -(AmmoLand.com)- Endurance testing of the Palm Pistol prototype was completed in August, 2010.

The procedure consisted of firing 10,000 standard rounds and 100 proof loads. Every 500 rounds, the gun was completely disassembled and subjected to wet fluorescent magnetic particle inspection (MPI) by an ASTM certified non-destructive testing laboratory.

    Thumbs up

I'm guessing pocket carry? Can't see the sense for a holster other than perhaps an ankle rig for use as a backup to a backup. Still a neat and contemprary take on a really old design. Too bad it's not a repeater like the original.

Isn't that one a repeater? You'd think in 140 years they'd atleast stay up with the design of the original. I just don't see a single shot that you have to be within striking range of using to be effective as a great seller unless they are so cheap you can buy one with throwaway money...

The Protector was a 7-shot pistol chambered in .32 Extra Short. I have yet to see an MSRP for the new Palm Pistol.

Granny with a charm bracelet or necklace, boogerman with messy pants when helpless target has big teeth and a nasty bite. Especially if the shot is from point blank range and about 4 1/2" below his belly button. Possible with a 4'11" great grandmother and a 5'10" mugger.

Imagine how long it took them to fire 10,000 single shots! This thing doesn't look too speedy to reload, either.

There were some functional/ergonomic issues that surfaced which will be addressed in the production model.
