I might have posted this a long time back but it's worth repeating. I always wanted to see him live but I don't recall him playing in my town back in the day. I DID see his brother Edgar playing live circa 1973 but he wasn't the blues powerhouse Johnny was:

Awesome. A little back story. I remember the specific time I discovered the blues. I was a wee lad of thirteen, loved rock and roll and had just been exposed to Hendrix. I was in a record store looking for Hendrix albums and found him in the blues section. I thought “he’s rock, what is this thing called blues?” The rest is history.

The Stones are still around and TOURING in 2018. The Beatles ceased to exist in 1969 after being formed the same year as the Stones, 1963.

I have 16 RS albums in my collection. The Beatles? 0 (zero)

Over 8 years old now and a lot of old names got me a little nostalgic I guess

I remember when he used to post videos of his band here years ago...I actually tried googling them a year or two back and it looks like they're not together anymore. I know he's been moving around in recent years but still drops in occasionly.
