Remember the $79.00/cases way back when. We used to go out and shoot up a case on the weekend bumping the AK and shooting clays on the side of the hill.

I remember those days. My daughter and I would head to the range with mags and drums full and a case of 7.62x39 on the side. (usually as many mags as I could stuff into an empty wooden case that formerly held Yugo 7.62x39)

About 20 loaded 30 round USGI AR-15 mags and a couple of boxes on the side.

Same with 9mm, usually a full case as well as a couple of bricks of .22LR.

If we came back with any ammo left it wasn't a good day.

Yes Wolf was fairly good at the time and around $80 per case. My favorite .223/5.56x45 and 9mm was and still is Sellier and Bellot. Their .223 was $120 per case and the 9mm $100. I remember throwing a fit when their .223 went to $140 and not much later $160. Glad I bought what I did when I did.
