Looking for a break barrel revolver but something in a more common round like 357 or 44.

There were several in .38 special...
We found out what "dealing" with progressive lefties is all about. Our side gives up something, they give up nothing and the progressives come back in a month or a year and want us to give up more... rinse and repeat...

I was looking for modern production schofields a while back. They're out there but they were too rich for my blood.

One of the coolest looking revolvers in the west IMHO. Total class. In fact...

Uberti has a vareity on that page in .38spl, .45 Colt and some variety of .44 I don't quite comprehend.

I'm sort of partial to this one in .45 Colt. Hello Baby!

Awesome! Thank you. I didn't know the webley also came in .38.

    Those schofields are awesome too.

    Decisions, decisions...

There's a reason why break top guns went away. They are complex to make and they wear out at the latching points and then don't lock shut well, they aren't as strong as O frame handguns. The .38 Webly's I don't believe are .38 Spl. chambered, probably .38 S&W the older less powerful .38. Umberti does make their break top in .38 spl.

To Dr. G the .44 is probably .44-40, yeah went and checked, it is .44-40 which was a popular lever gun chambering in the day. The idea was to have a rifle and a handgun in the same chambering so the person only had to carry one type of ammo.

Well that sucks. Theyre still cool looking. I want something with that wild west flavor but modern reliability and ammo.

Uberti makes Colt Peacemaker type revolvers and birds head gripped and Bisley old west revolvers. These say old west and are much stronger than the Schoefield types.http://www.uberti.com/firearms/stall...-bird-head.php http://www.uberti.com/firearms/singl...-cattleman.php

This is what you really want.

That "barrel" below the barrel is a 20ga shotgun, the rest is a 9 shot .44.

There is alot of SUPRISE built into the pistol.
