One of My Favorite 9mm Handguns

The power of [Beretta] is a curious thing
Make a one man weep, make another man sing...

The Beretta M9 / 92 is one of my very favorite 9mm handguns. As many may know, the Beretta M92A1, a variant of the same sidearm issued to the US Military: the Beretta M9.

What do I like about it?

• The weight makes recoil extremely manageable.
• The capacity.
• The trigger, yes, I know...but I like it.
• Double action is a hard pull, SA after that is just fine.
• Reset point is very nice.

What do I not like about it?
• The Beretta "up is on, down is off" safety takes some getting used to.
• The lock up system is different, but workable.
• It's not quite as easy to take down as my SIG P226, etc.

But all in all, definitely one of my favorites!

Here's my "Close Up!" video of the pistol, followed by a link to the longer review I did on it.

They are decent, but I haven't found anything that beats a Sig out of the box under a $1K dollars...
We found out what "dealing" with progressive lefties is all about. Our side gives up something, they give up nothing and the progressives come back in a month or a year and want us to give up more... rinse and repeat...

I have a well used G17 (was a LEO trade-in) that I like a lot. One of the cool things about Glocks is the aftermarket stuff - like barrels. I got a Lone Wolf SS one with threaded muzzle. That's for shooting cast boolits and to accept a suppressor if I ever decide to get one...

I've always sort of wanted a beretta, they have a certain "look" to them that I like.

However I've realized my desire for an m92 is a lot like my desire for a red head. I've dreamed about it, planned on it, and even came damn close a time or two, but I just don't think those stars are ever going to align.

92's and Glocks you either love em or hate em. Color me in for Team Glock. I've handled and shot the 92, didn't like the long assed trigger pull, didn't like the bulk of the grip.
