Really like the looks of that trigger guard and all the online reviews say its overall outstanding. We had a black sheppard, long passed, was the best k9 I've ever known. How long have you had this and are there any cons to be found on the tavor?

Two gun posts in one night. I can't decide which I like better.

You gonna do a trigger job on that Tavor?

What sort of optics are you looking for?

Well considering how small that Tavor is really it needs an Aimpoint T-1 or the H-1. A good compromise would be the Patrol Rifle Optic, (PRO) by Aimpoint. I'm liking the one I picked up 2 weeks ago. Sure the PRO only has a 3 year battery life if left on continuously but hell it has NV settings and cost only about $400 base cost. Its a lot of sight for 4 bills.

Yea. I've been looking at that one as well.

What do you have it mounted on?

I dumped 150 rounds out of this today and it was 100%, you get over the bullpup trigger feeling real quick.

I took that ithica 37 out the other week, works fine but I don't think the barrel will fit my dad's, so let me know if you still want it.

or perhaps if you want a calico 22......

    Damn nice rifle...
We found out what "dealing" with progressive lefties is all about. Our side gives up something, they give up nothing and the progressives come back in a month or a year and want us to give up more... rinse and repeat...

the biggest thing is .. getting used to the fact the mag release is in the front.

I found myself a few times today looking for the lever the AK's have.

Only cons I've found so far are , shit heats up fast when it's sunny out and about 90*.

brass gets a flat spot on the mouth upon ejection.

but other than that. I'm a happy camper.

I'm still wrapping up some other shit, then I'll get to take the cool stuff to the range.

I have it on my piston gas system AR15 middy carbine. I originally had an Eotech 512 on the rifle. The price of the 512 was in the same range of $400 as the PRO is but when I bought the 512 the PRO didn't exist. On the whole had the PRO sight been around when I bought my 2 Eotechs I'd never have purchased them. I do like the ring - dot of the Eotech better, but not so much that I would give up 4 NV settings and 3 years of continuous ON battery life. If you set it to NV where the dot isn't visible to the human eye it can last into the decades of time! Naturally the battery shelf life itself isn't that long, maybe 10 years. IMO this, (Aimpoint PRO) is THE best dollar value red dot sight on the market. The built in mount is really nice, it has a slip clutch feature that prevents over tightening.
