Need some help with a gun for a boat trade.

My sisters have gotten my dad's old 87' Cobai 19 footer on a trailer. Its pretty old and were its been sitting the deck need to be rebuilt and the old 89' 90 HP motor needs to be overhauled. Anyway my sisters are wanting $1200 for it...which I don't think they will get with a rotted deck and a old motor. A guy came and saw it today and offered me a DPMS-AR-10. Its a complete rifle, flat top no sights on it. He said he had $950 in the gun and hasn't shot it yet. I thought with the boat in this bad of shape....I would do the trade and then turn the gun over and try to get about $1100 out of it....which is probably more than the boats worth. THing is I have to convince my sisters of this. What do you guys think? Fair trade?

With a bad deck and a non-working old motor I'd charge you to haul it off... I'd jump on the deal.
We found out what "dealing" with progressive lefties is all about. Our side gives up something, they give up nothing and the progressives come back in a month or a year and want us to give up more... rinse and repeat...

That boat is a liability. The AR-10 is an asset. Easy choice.

    Ditto.

You would be an idiot to not take the deal.
The rifle is worth way more than the boat and easier to sell.

    Nice boobs btw

Do it, this one shoots 1'' groups at 200 yards with federal premium match ammo...after i installed a Timney trigger , the stock trigger sucks.

Not to be a jerk, but this is an AR 10, the DPMS is an LR 308
