tight fitting gas tube on saiga ak-47

i have heard about vertical stringing resulting from gas tubes being too tight. mine has absolutely no play at all in it! extremely tight i think. no wobble front to back or side to side. should i file of some material from the latch side to get some small amount of play for accuracy sake? thanks, Walt.

Personally I would take it to the range and function check and accuracy check it before trying to fix something that might not be broken. Granted the big reason the AK is so reliable is it's designed in sloppy tolerances, I would run some rounds downrange off a rest and see how it groups.

From handling a few the Saigas and even more so, the VEPRs seen to be tighter than earlier AKs...

Shoot first and fix only if a problem is there is good advise.
We found out what "dealing" with progressive lefties is all about. Our side gives up something, they give up nothing and the progressives come back in a month or a year and want us to give up more... rinse and repeat...
