Most everyone here is already prepared, but if, not, you might want to beat the rush and start stocking up on batteries, kerosene, candles, flashlights, meds, chainsaw and gas for it, food, water, powdered milk, etc.
Once a hurricane starts coming close to our shores, people go nuts and panic buy everything they can get their hands on.
Like everything else, prepare early and don't get caught in the rush.
