Dang that was a lot of people who are not here now. It's amazing to think the old site was that active. I remember machinist in texas. He used to also be active over at ar15.com until he got banned. Is he still here?

Man there were a lot of good posters that no longer visit the boards, kind of sad. I don't think the many month span of the commie wankers helped matters any, that seems to have been a dividing point for a few.
That was the year I joined though I don't see my user name on the list.
Most have gone by the wayside over the last 9 yrs or so for one reason or another. Some moved to other sites (I see a lot over @ the DDB), a few got banned, others have died. Like I stated in another recent thread, I think the 6-month-long downtime and rash of euro-trolls a couple of years ago dealt a major blow. That and the end of the cheap milsurp kits & ammo.
Nobody' lamenting Igor?

Agreed. I remember when Rick and Rich started the C&R side of the board. Except for the main board GD we probably had as much traffic on the C&R side as the rest of the board combined. Sadly we lost Rick and Rich as well as the imports of cool C&R stuff. A lot of things have come to pass. We've had board wars with other sites, members have split off and started other sites which siphoned off some members. Having the board down didn't help. A lot of us that have been here for a while started on these forums during a different time. We've had some memorable meltdowns, some tragedies and a lot of good fun. I don't believe the site will ever be what it once was but it doesn't have to be. We can make this place a new even better then it was if we all just work together. We need go stop the petty bickering and name calling. Some of us need to be more tolerant of others and others of us need to think a little more about what we are posting and why.
Everyone has a right to an opinion and civil discourse is a good thing. I'm all for speaking ones mind but posting simply to stir the pot, while it can liven things up really isn't to anyone's benefit. We've never shied away from controversial topics and I feel like that is to our credit. That being said, common sense should be our guide. Let's visit the other forums and sub-forums more and see if we can't stir up some interest. Even if we don't all have new toys to post about we still have old stuff that we would enjoy sharing again. A lot of the new members weren't here during the heydays of C&R so they might appreciate seeing what we have and share in the knowledge.
Perhaps if we all make an effort to enjoy the board and each other a little more things would improve. I certainly think it's worth a try.

Anybody heard from ATAK?
Last I heard from him he was having some health problems.
"I'm fucking furious, I'm violently angry, and I like it. If you don't know what that feels like then I feel bad for you"
Been a while since I spoke to Rick (Noah Zark) too, in fact Rick is one of only two people to ever see the inside of my main safe and live to talk about it! Great guy and glad his business is doing well.
