My camp stove runs on Coleman fuel. It works great but that stuff is so expensive. Any ideas on something cheaper? Like bulk naptha?

Yep, coleman fuel is nothing more than unleaded gasoline sans the addatives. I have an old "Peak One" that is duel fuel - also a folding type - can't remember the brand but is very popular.

FWIW Unleaded gas burns dirty in the df lantern I have .
My MSR stove can burn white gas / naptha 2 names same thing, Un-leaded, K-1 and diesel. It comes with tools and jets. Some of these will burn dirty with the wrong jets. Coleman Naptha is around 56 octane.

Not cheap but they burn anything you have on hand...
Ok guys. I appreciate the feedback, but I'm looking for new fuel, not new equipment.

White gasoline, that I never see for sale anymore, is the same thing as coleman's fuel. That is the only direct substitute I know of...
That's it - MSR. That's the brand of my little folding stove.
Sevlex - might want to consider a multi-fuel stove if this is important to you...
Or, you may want to cosider this:

I made one of these for shits and grins - it works great. You can use rubbing alcohol, fuel additive like "Heat", grain alcohol, - any kind of alcohol with high enough proof.
How's that for cheap and available?

That video is great!
I have an older MSR Whisperlite, which pre-dates the multi-fuel version. Also have a Svea 123 in good working order.
The Coleman fuel I have been using is running out & I was surprised to see how expensive it has gotten. The stuff will last a long time for me anyway, but I was hoping not to spend a lot of $$$ if there is an adequate & cheaper substitute. Going out and spending a hundred bucks or more on new equipment defeats my purpose.
