What is the deal with AR kits not having trigger guard?

I'm looking at AR kits and they all specify no trigger guard! WTF is with that? I'm just wondering, they don't seem all that labor intensive.

Haven't seen that yet, but it might have something to do with some of the custom lowers having the trigger guard already milled as part of the lower.

    A whopping $9.50 each.

    About $8 each.

All are in stock and there are others.

I'm guessing it's to keep the costs down for the folks who either upgrade to something like the magpul guard or as Jay pointed out have a billet lower with an integral trigger guard. Its not drastically different than the folks who offer the cheaper LPK without triggers in them for folks who were planning on upgrading to a match trigger anyway.

I've been looking at quite a few different ones.

I have my own machines so making one of my own design is a fairly simple chore.

I understand making stuff because it is fun if that's why you're doing it. Certainly this is why I build my own firearms if I can and why I build my home mid tower size gaming PC. OTOH for less than $20 bucks is it worth the time to make just a trigger guard?

How about a photo of one after you finish it.
