Sold some but I'm keeping these for now. I have shot them and hand load the 7.5.

    Thumbs up

Tres bon mon amie!. Tres bon.

The pistol is a Mle. 1935A is it not? Do you reload for it?

There is a local auction coming up that has a 35 S I'm thinking of bidding on but I'm not sure how hard it would be to get up and running with handloads?

Still got my 49/56, 36/51, 36 LG/48 and a couple of different MAS 36 as well as my Berthier Mle. 07/15-16 and probably always will. Vive la Francais!

The M1953 scope is something I'd like to have for mine. Prices have gone through the ceiling the last few years. I remember 4-5 years ago a member on gunboards saw a Century advertisment for M1953 scope parts. Something like $75 for their remaining inventory of parts. IIRC he jumped on it and actually received something like 6-8 complete, functional scopes, several incomplete scopes and a good bit of accesssories. Last time I checked an excellent condition M1953 scope, complete with eyepiece, case and accesories was running over $400. If he held on to those for any length of time he made a killing in the market place.

Think I bought my MAS 49/56, unfired since overhaul from SOG back when they were just over $200, maybe $225 or $250 tops. Probably could have snagged a scope for under a $100 at that time as well. Wish now I had.

I did see a complete on on Gunbroker for $700,it appears to be complete.I did not know much about it,either way it was out of my price range.I was impressed with the accuracy of the 49/56,I was not happy with the limited availability of ammo and brass for reloading.I had couple of slamfires from the soft Prvi ammo, used some military primers and that fixed the issue.I figured I would stick to collecting US battle rifles instead of every country I cam across.

I've still got close to 500rds of the first batch of Indep 7.5 that came out. IIRC it has MAS MAS on the box. I've used it in my bolt guns but haven't tried it in my 49/56 yet as I had a good supply of Syrian ammo I was using in it and my now long gone MAS 49. If it causes any problems I'll just keep it for my bolt guns and reload the brass for the 49/56.

Thank you. Last I heard folks were using .30 carbine brass or something like that to form cases. Didn't know Graf was selling brass for it. I may bid on that pistol after all.

If the bidding gets North of $475

let me know and I might let the whole thing go when I'm done taking photos of it.

Just checked and the auction was last weekend

    http://linkousauctioneers.com/auctio....php?id=143475

For some reason I though it was this weekend coming up. Don't know what it sold for but around here I'd be surprised if it went for much at all. If I could have grabbed it for cheap, (need to offset the cost of brass, bullets and dies), I'd probably have brought it home.

Is your's original or refinished? It's probably the cleanest looking one I've seen in ages.

    ;-)

I'm going to let the whole set go three magazines dies brass and holster when I'm done making the pictures. I sold my Japanese set last year. Nabu with holster three magazines and 7.7 rifle with bayonet and sling to make room.

Duke Venturino had a reloading for the oldies article in the September 2010 issue of GUNS pg. 49. He said Bertram makes the brass and it's .78" instead of the .68" of the .32 Auto. He claims that you can use a .32 Auto die backed up the tenth of an inch. I don't know, but I don't think he'd be wrong on something so easily verifiable.
