    Thumbs up M57 Yugo Tok

Got me one of these just prior to my C&R expiring. I decided to let it go after 3 iterations as I don't want uncle batfuck to have access to my collection for the next coming years... any more than as a private citizen anyway. No audit privaledges for them on my C&R's...

Anyhoo, here's a pic of her:

And here's a youtube of me and the boy shooting her:

(sorry for the vid dissapearing - I accidentally wiped them all out -but I put this back in...)
I bought a Polish Tok before this - shot well enough but didn't like the add-on safety. The Yugo's add-on safety is much much better. Its got a lot of features that the other standard Toks don't - like captive recoild spring, front sight is dovetailed in and adjustable for windage, mags hold 9 rounds..., fireing pin is held in like a 1911 instead of pinned in like the others... mag release button is bigger too.

Anyway, IMHO, the Yugo is head and shoulders above the other Toks.

Yes. The Yugo ammo works well in the Yugo Tok - go figure...

Good that you did not have to sell the ammo. That would have been a real loss possibly.

Woops delayed response here... I'm keeping it - its great ammo! The polish tok didn't like it (that is, it shot great but about one round every mag or so wouldn't pop on the first strike...).

    The Yugo shoots it great.

I have about 2800 rounds of Yugo and Romanian tok ammo now - a good supply for this one pistol.

Possibly a stupid question, but will the 8 round TT33 magazines work in this pistol or are they simply too short?

They are definitely too short. There is an American company making mags for this now, and you can modify CZ-52 mags to work in the M57 Yugo Tok.

Sorry ronjon - I accidentally deleted all of my vids on youtube! stupid fool move, but I loaded a bunch back on and fixed the link at the top.

And the mod for the M52 mags is really very easy - you just need to cut a notch for the Yugo's mag catch. The Cz52 and Yugo Tok mags are almost identical accept for the lack of the notch on the Cz52's as they are retained with a heal clip.
