I'm astounded at the prices these knives are going for, granted much of the money is due to the rare make up of the handles but still that's alot of money for a knife.

Dude! If I paid that much for a knife... it wouldn't get used. The only place it would be is in a shadowbox on the wall of the cardboard shanty I'd be living in 'cause my Wife would have kicked me in the nads and kicked me out.

As with anything else whether it be engraved firearms, Swiss watches or German & Italian cars the craftsmanship and beauty to the beholder is what justifies the price.
