Century imported a few 84S series rifle from Canada, hence the longer barrel required in Canada.

I have seen a couple of each style, fixed 84S, underfolder 84S-1 and orange side folder 84S-2. All were brought in from Canada but only a few as somehow ATF found out and shut down the importation by Century.

The 84S series was available from Nornico with three barrel lengths but only the 16 came into the USA.

Also, after the Bush1 stupidity, Century tried bringing a few more in by stamping "MAK-90" in the receiver but no other changes. They claimed the long barrel took the rifle out of the banned category since it was the 16 inch that was listed as evil. ATF said no but allowed the ones imported to stay here.
