    Depends on what model ACOG.

Edit: it also depends on what mount you are using. (Some mounts set the optic farther back).

4x32 model. the mount is built in.

reason i ask, for shits and giggles, i picked up a chineese knock off to play with and see if its any good for $80. most pics i see on the net show them with the optic mounted around the middle of the rail (on an ar) with a folding buis behind them. for this reason, i expected a long 6-8" eye relief. first thing i noticed was what seemed to me to be a incredibly short 2-2 1/2" eye relief. wondering if its a fail from the start or if thats how they are intended to be. unfortunately, i dont have a real model to compare it to, nor have i ever use a real one.

    Ive got a ta-11 with the d-o-d....
Great optic. thing is 15 years old probably but still bright as ever.
I think my eye relief is at 3 inches.

The TA-31 line (what most folks think of when they think ACOG) has a very short 1.5 inch eye relief. This is fine if you are used to shooting nose to the charging handle but some folks prefer the TA-11 which gives a longer eye relief (2.4 inches) but has a more restrictive field of view. (5.5 degrees on the 11 vs 7 degrees on the 31).

Any thoughts on the Primary Arms alternatives that run $200-300?
