Nice rifle, right? Poly Tech AKS-762.

While some people don't understand why I post "buyer beware" threads, I still think there are a few firearm aficionados on this site who care.

So I give you another Chinese rifle that if you care about AK variants and might want to own one, would like to know what to look for. There is an obvious issue in the third picture, something that caught my attention in the fifth, and the sixth gave it away.

Nice rifle, sure, but would I pay that price? Nope.

Yup, that "SP" was stamped post-Bush1-ban to make the rifle suddenly "sporting purpose". The front sight hoop being cut off was my first clue something was wrong.

No, the Legend series was an odd-ball in that it did not have the hooded front sight. It was sold as being the closest AK variant you can buy to a true AK Type 3 except in semi-auto only.

If we only had a law guaranteeing the right to keep and bear arms that wasn't infringed, we could not only still buy these, but have a real AK Type 3.

I was only asking just to make sure I didn't get duped on my Legends, thanks for the reply

I have to say I was surprised when I bought my first Legend and found the front sight like the European. Immediately put a call into the god (yes lower case "G" as there is only one God) of Poly Tech, Mr. Keng to verify. Developed a unique friendship with the Keng family over the years, learned a lot of very interesting things from "the horse's mouth". Really nice family!
