Cool Receiver and Bolt Carrier Deal

http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=F1ARBK Ah if I just had some disposable income at the moment. I've used the Anderson Receivers and they are just fine IMO. I have one built into a rifle and another a pistol.

Looks like a good deal. A question, what's with the .300 blackout round?

It is a case made from the .223 / 5.56 case. It shoots 120 to 200 grain or slightly heavier 30 caliber (.308 diameter) bullets. The light bullets are super sonic in speed similar to what we get with the 7.62x39 round for the AK. The heavier bullets are very quiet with a suppressor on the weapon, airgun kind of quiet from the vids I've seen and reviews I've read. It uses the same bolt face as the standard 5.56 AR15 and it uses the same standard 20, 30 and 40 round mags. Probably also feed in the drum mags with certain bullet weights.

Feral Hog hunters use it a lot with suppressors and heavier bullets to do night vision scope hunting of the pigs. You can hunt white tail deer with it using the lighter bullets or maybe the mid range weights like 150 gr. rounds.

I have 110gr bullets but havent tried yet, my subsonic loads are quieter suppressed than my 9mm subs. Even supersonic isnt bad, right on par with a .22 short.

So the 5.56/.223 case would basically have no neck? I'm gonna find a pic. Was/is it a wildcat round?

Advanced Armament Corporation, makers of AAC brand Suppressors, (I have 2) designed the round. It is similar to .300 Whisper, but uses the 5.56 case as the parent case. Oh it has some neck, just not as much as 5.56 / .223 rounds.

Borrowed a photo from the internet. Various bullet weights, don't know what they are in this image.

BTW the deal on the receiver and bolt set would allow building of; .223, 5.56, .300 Black Out weapons just depending on what barrel you'd pick to install on the receiver set. It doesn't just have to be .300 BO, just to clarify incase you think that is what it is only suitable for.
