I don't like what I see. No forward assist and the one shown has chips in the finish as if it is a used upper. Why would you be interested in a .308 type AR upper? You planning to slowly build a .308 AR up?

Naw just musing and picking ya'lls brains while I am at it.
It says it might have cosmetic problems, I would say blemished.
Is the forward assist expensive? I ask because you mentioned it
    right off the bat.

To me any AR upper without a Forward assist feature is half-assed. The ability for this rifle design to close the bolt is marginal IMO. Once they carbon up from shooting they can stop going into battery fully. With the Forward Assist you can use it to finish closing the bolt and get a round off. Without it you're done shooting until you break the weapon down and clean the bolt group or until you can squirt WD40 all over it to soften the carbon.

The first M16's didn't have forward assist, FA was one of the first things added in the debug of the weapon system.

My main concern is they don't state what "AR-10" spec it is exactly. Since there is no official mil-spec for AR10s, there are at least three main specs, and most of the parts are not interchangeable between them. Even parts from different manufacturers within a spec may not be compatible.

Although not fully compatible with any other AR-10 system, the rifles and parts from PSA seem like the best deals going on an AR-10.
