McConnell to GOP faithfull; Vote RINO! ! !

Leader McConnell warns GOP voters: We need candidates 'who can win'

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Friday warned Republican voters to steer clear of nominating Tea Party candidates who can’t win in next year’s general election.

“The way you have a good election year is to nominate people who can win,” he told reporters during his final Capitol Hill press conference of 2015.

He urged Republican primary voters to avoid the mistakes of the past, mentioning several Tea Party candidates who went down in flames in recent Senate elections.

“What we did in 2014 was we didn’t have more Christine O’Donnell’s, Sharron Angles, Richard Mourdocks or Todd Akins. The people that were nominated [last year] were electable,” he said of the last midterm cycle.

“That will happen again in 2016. We will not nominate anybody for the United States Senate on the Republican side who’s not appealing to a general-election audience,” he added.

Yes, America, vote for the people who are in no way different from democrats, that's the sure ticket.

They forget it's about representing the people and not their own interests. Without a tea party or other constitutional candidate to challenge and win every race the only way we can hope to get this turned around is term limits. Trump as POTUS might be the person who can bring that about. Then again, maybe he isn't but one way or the other we need make even the notion of a "career politician" as extinct as the do-do.

There are several in the senate and house that somehow keep getting elected over and over. One day old age will vote them out, but until then we are stuck with idiots like McConnell who continue to want career politicians, which is why they hate Trump.

Like Trump or not as a person, he is not a career politician, and isn't that what we have been screaming for? He isn't perfect, no one is, and not voting for any candidate for a single issue is insuring that unless something really wakes the country up to the next potential liar in chief, we are going to single issue a continued reign of terror with hillary taking this country completely to it's knees in a flaming pile of rubble.

The Republican candidate must win to make the next appointments to the Supreme Court.

When McC says win he means fold to the dems. Just as we saw yesterday. I will vote for the next nominee
but at least this time the media does not stand a chance to pick the candidate. It will be Trump or Cruz and I am fine with this.

That's true. Several are getting ready to go, one way or another and if it doesn't happen in the next year it surely will during the first term of the next POTUS.

This really scares me that one or more will leave during King Barack's final year and he will destroy the supreme court with his choice. My hope is that if he does, the confirming group will prevent his freedom killers from getting a seat.

No, they will bend over again. I am really starting to think there IS a one party conspiracy going on. The SC is the last bastion against these people, and even it has had weak knees recently. Really scary. We actually have people in our gov arguably for the first time that openly say we should not really follow or care about the constitution anymore. Unreal. King barack has lived this mindset for 7 years.

So, lagcsocialist supports terrorism AS LONG AS ITS FOR POLITICAL ENDS....

BHO said he was going to fundamentally change America.
So to me this is no surprise.

An establishment Republican appointment will be no different whatsoever to a Democratic appointment. The GOP establishment is in collusion with the Democratic party.

So we need someone who can win? Is that why they like to nominate people like McCain and Dole? I don't like their examples of candidates who "can win."

In a way it's a double edged sword. The majority of Republicans aren't all that conservative and probably wouldn't vote for a real conservative candidate no matter how badly this country needs one. This is were we stand, wanting a real change but with a party majority that probably isn't ready yet to do the right thing. Notice I said, "yet" as I think more are coming around each election cycle.

The GOP only wants to stay in power so they don't want a real conservative candidate either because, A. The Republican majority won't vote for one and B. If one got elected their days would be numbered.

I still feel our best bet is to keep punching away at the state and local level by electing tea party / constitutional candidates whether it's your local school board, county board of supervisors, treasurer, sheriff, etc. Build the base wide and strong. The top needs the base, so once you have the base in order you can replace the top.

2012.. Obama Vs. Romney and Ryan , Romneys' Obama-lite and Ryan, well you saw in the past week what he's all about.

theres democrats i voted for this past november due to the fact their opponents were RINO's , sure they might tow the republican line but some of them were Che' loving douchebags.

Indeed... it's about the money. Look how much money they're worth now compared to when they got there.

When they go along to get along we are lectured to.

I don't buy the argument that the establishment is the majority of the party. The establishment just had a method to get their guy nominated with less than a quarter of the party's support. A crowded conservative field along with key vote splitters in strategic states gets a RINO nominated with the magic number of 25%. The majority of the party did not want Romney, but he won the nomination with less than a third of the party's support. Jeb was using the "roadmap" too, but the Trump factor has destroyed this strategy. The only establishment RINO who is even in the running at this point is Rubio, and the "roadmap" doesn't work if you're polling at less than half of the frontrunner's numbers.

The article below outlines how it has always worked in the past, and how they were planning for it to work with Jeb too.

The base is already in order, we were just allowing ourselves to be played. This election cycle isn't about the dog catcher and the school board; this election cycle is about crushing the establishment nationally.
