    Meadowlark Lemon Dead at 83

He WAS the Harlem Globetrotters during the years he played.

I saw him play at a local civic center. His antics and shots were phenomenal.

Even though he retired a while back, he will be missed. His legacy lives on. No other player has been a "Meadowlark" since his retirement.

    RIP Meadowlark.

Except for Pete Marovich, when he was with the Hawks, The Globetrotters were the only basketball
I ever liked. He was a unique ambassador for America and will be remembered as such.

Same here my dad would take us when they were in town.
They were on TV a lot back then too
Loved the ball on a rubber band free throws
Not sure it was him but I liked that one

Saw them in Des Moines as a kid, always fun!
