As a PA resident, I can say that I could give a shit less about a budget being passed. We are already taxed to death in this state, just so teachers unions and welfare recipients can get more free shit from the working class. Rather than spend tax money on fixing our crumbling bridges, this state will spend money on methadone clinics, welfare, overpaid teachers unions, and overpaid state employees. Fuck Tom Wolf and his tax increase. I hope the state GOP isn't as spineless as the ones in Congress.

Can't blame the actual state employees, If the state had it's way they'd all be making $9-12 an hour.



the issue with employees is Rendell took a huge chunk out of the pension fund and never put it back. Leaving a considerable hole in it. Now they're facing a huge wave of upcoming retirements across the state and want to convert everything to a 401k .

A good chunk of folks don't know that PA invests it's pension/retirement funds into oil futures based out of texas... and oil is in the dumps right now.

The proposed budget for 2014-2015 gave $11.2 billion for welfare recipients alone. Here's a link to an article from 2014.

Welfare IMO is the biggest waste in government spending. Most of the people on it make a career out of staying on it, and bleeding the taxpayer dry. I go out and work my ass off, just so these lazy pieces of human filth can live off my money. It's sickening.

Ok I am really starting to get it now. Sorry to say but it sounds kinda typical
of the NE states. Where welfare is replacing the labor union and the educational
unions are not producing anything but want more of the pie "for the children."
And the working class (union or not) is getting squeezed more and more.
