this year when we were talking how loud the fireworks were?
If what I am starting to hear here now is any indication it is
going to be louder.
This is the first New Year night that fireworks are legal in our state.
I imagine that we will hear a few stories tomorrow about some
mistakes.

don't shoot up, as heard on some channel.

My neighborhood started booming at 7 PM. Our dog was terrorized, spent the whole evening trying to console him. He wouldn't go outside and eventually pissed in my wife's shoe. Oy!
All fireworks were legalized in Indiana a few years ago. Since then several towns have enacted their own noise ordinances that seem to supersede the state. Regardless during the holiday times it does sound like a war is going on.
It wasn't anything like the 4th around here seemed subdued but it was pretty loud.
IIRC our rules are from 10a until 2a you can set them off.
