    Trapper John Dead at 82

Wayne Rogers died of pneumonia yesterday. He was the original "Trapper John" on TV's M.A.S.H series. He played his part well.

He and Alda made a great comedic team on the show.

Saw that as well. Unlike Alda (flaming Liberal) Rogers was conservative and quite a financial wizard.

Back in the true heyday of tv, when you could say what did and did not need to be said on camera
and it did not get cut.

    Thanks for the laughs....

I binge watched MASH a few months ago. Every episode. Wayne was great.
When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail." ----- Jack Burton 1986
