    Damn. That's awesome. I've cooked one squirrell. It was way too hard to skin. Harder than a deer. Nice work.

    What is it in a squirrel to look for to know that you shouldn't eat it? Reds and Greys.

    Haha! You don't skin a squirrel like a deer. Chop off the feet and head then make a slit across the belly like you were going to cut it in equal halves. (But just cut through the skin). Hook your fingers on each side of the slit and pull in opposite directions. The hide and fur come off like taking a sock off your foot.

    That said Gray squirrels are quite yummy!

    Easily skinned, a la Schuetz, have eaten Red, Black, Gray, fried, stew, stuffed and baked, and way you can think of and want to try, they are very edible!
