In my career field in order to be promoted to CAPTAIN (the equivalent of a full Colonel) you have to serve as a department head on an aircraft carrier. The thing is, it is not enough to just serve in this position, you have to do it well, and even then it is not a sure thing to be promoted. This is the same thing. Just because an actor is in a movie does not mean they will win an Oscar and even if they do well it is not guaranteed that they will be even nominated. It is sad that they cannot be happy for those who have been nominated. Just another reason why I don't watch the Academy Awards.

Imanage the Crap that starts flying when a strong Republican President reinstates the Requirement to Return to Work after being on Welfare after several Years. That fool, Obongo took it away. Without Welfare, 80% of the Black Population would Stave.

    Thumbs down

Speaking of Black Actors, I happened to recall a Story my Dad told me from the 1950's. Remember William Warfield? famous for the 1951 Movie Showboat. He sang That old Man River, in the Movie. Turned out he was a Member of the Communist Party. Not sure what happened to him after that. Paul
