    OTC anti-biotics...

I found a website selling anti-biotics for "fish and birds." However, despite the label saying "not for human use," the actual capsules are the same ones that come from the pharmacy. Just FYI...

Thanks. You can get many of the antibiotics at fish and pet stores, too.

Thanks, I'll have to take a gander. It's not advisable to mess around with bacteria and anti-biotics without a doctor on a normal basis, but if the SHTF, there won't be doctors (or pharmacies) readily available to assist.

As an aside, Drugs.com has useful information on each type of anti-biotic. Just type in the name (or use the pill identifier if you don't know the name) and it will explain what types of bacterial infections a certain medicine attacks, what the dosage is, etc. Print out the info you find and store it with any anti-biotics you squirrel away.
