Q. My wife shops

on Amazon not often but she does and she doesn't log out. Forgets IDK.
But I checked something there today and she was logged in. I said "honey
you need to log out when you leave." and she said "oh poo, nothing is going to happen."

Before I press this any farther what are your thoughts about this and the vulnerabilities
in this attitude, if there are any.

If your computer is in your house with nobody accessing it that you do not trust then you are good. Her staying logged in does not go any further then that computer.

My brother is a doctor and a couple of times he left his computer logged in just long enough to run down the hall. Both times, his boss jumped in and googled "how to get away with killing your wife". So, maybe you could order off the wall stuff or something useful to you that she would hate and maybe that would help.

I never stay logged in on any site. I think it is a better policy to log off and log back on.

My wife shops every day. Buys what ever is on sale whether we need it or not. I swear that she is a hoarder. This includes on line shopping.
