I remember someone complaining that the safety on their 100% American AK not working. Guess he was not alone.

Well, people who hate them for bad products might end up getting a pound of flesh afterall. Actually, 5 million pounds.

Be careful hating them though. I feel they have done a lot to introduce people to affordable firearms.
    "What sick, barbaric bastards.

It's one thing to use terrorism to make a political statement, but the wanton mutilation and suffering of innocents? How does that forward your political goals? When done in the name of religion, how does that earn you brownie points with God?

Fuck religious extremism. And especially fuck the "religion of peace." "

So, lagcsocialist supports terrorism AS LONG AS ITS FOR POLITICAL ENDS....

Agreed. The safety levers on mine rotate all the way up like that, too, but I've never had an issue. Keep that trigger finger off the bang switch and point it in a safe direction - and don't rotate the safety lever upward where it's not supposed to go...

This reeks of a gun control .org, they can't sue for criminal use so they go after "manufacturing flaws". As has been stated this is every ak with the dust cover off.

No one mentioned the obvious! You would never fire an AK with out the Receiver Cover on it.

With all the hate directed at Century, and granted some was earned, it is thanks to Century that I have several long barrel Norincos and Poly Techs that Century sneaked in from Canada.

As for the safety rotating above the receiver, like others have said, with the receiver cover removed, that is how you remove the safety to get the trigger group out. The problem that I have seen is the safety when rotated into the safe position does not contact the lugs on the trigger so it isn't locked in place.

    Exclamation

In one of his several AK Videos from Paladin Press, I recall Gabe Suarez was talking about how the AK Rifle could be fired with the Upper Receiver Cover removed, and He showed on the Video, how it could happen. like the Photo in the first Thread on some AK's but not all of them. Paul

I got ejected from a 3 gun shoot because I had that happen on my n-pap (with the cover on mind you) and the movement of the safety caused the gun to fire (one hand was on the handguard and the other was on the safety, so no finger was near the trigger).

Actually, an AK can be fired without the dust cover. It's not a good idea, but it does work.

My DDI has the F/A safety on it. But because I'm not a complete retard I don't rotate my safety lever up past the dust cover, and check my chamber before doing a disassembly. Non issue.
