Ugh... Kidney stones...

Well, these things fucking hurt. Never had one before, but last night at work my side started hurting something fierce. Bad enough that I thought there was something seriously wrong so I left work, hauled ass to the ER where they had me piss in a cup, then get in a gown. They found blood in my sample, and told me they think it's a kidney stone. They ran some blood work, then hooked me up to an IV, complete with morphine for the pain (was slightly disappointed, it totally killed the pain, but didn't get me high at all

). Ran a CT scan and found I have a 6mm stone that may or may not have been able to pass on its own. Either way they did some sonic shock treatment to break it up a little bit and make it more passable. And... Percocet 30's due to my high tolerance for opiates. As well as some stuff to help pass this bastard more easily. So needless to say I'm feeling pretty good right now. High everybody! Hopefully I'll be able to pass the Stone without feeling too awful much.

I was 8 years old when i learned about kidney stones. Walked by the bathroom one day and heard my grandpa cussing at the top of his lungs, i asked if he was OK and he told me he had just "passed a stone", i asked what that meant and he told me to look in the toilet where i saw the pink water and a small BB sized thing and then he explained where it came from and i had nightmares for a month hoping that never happened to me (so far so good)

I worked with a guy who got one real bad. He said that part is the easy part even though you think it would be the bad part
