    Constitutional Sheriffs

Constitutional Sheriffs: The Cops Who Think the Government Is Our 'Greatest Threat'

by Julia Harte and R. Jeffrey Smith

The full version of this story was originally published by The Center for Public Integrity, a nonprofit, nonpartisan investigative news organization in Washington, D.C.

Sheriff Nick Finch let a pistol-packing man out of the Liberty County, Florida, jail, a decision that led state authorities to charge Finch with a crime — but also made him a hero to a radical and growing movement among sheriffs across the country.

It's a movement that doesn't just reject gun control — it encourages law enforcement officers to defy laws they decide are illegal. And it sometimes puts police on the same side as "sovereign citizens," a fringe group that the FBI considers one of the most serious domestic terrorism threats. http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/...threat-n557381
"And how we burned in the camps later thinking, what would things have been like, if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain, whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?"

Fortunately there are many sheriffs these days who understand what is going on, but realize the immense power of the current federal government. Unfortunately we live in a time where the government no longer fears the people, but the people fear the government. Fortunately many sheriffs are not standing idly by.

There was a reason the constitution was written as it was, and these law officials seem to get it.

on a partially related note, i work with the police. same bldg, maintenance on their cars and equip, ect...

we were sitting and talking this morning, me and another guy from my dept and 2 police. the upcoming election came up, then one of them made a comment about guns being taken away. i smirked at the 2 of them and asked "are YOU going to come to take my guns??" (they know how outgunned they'd be) to which they both replied, "we will be right next to you"

im sure there are many on the other side too, but i can tell you for certainty there are a lot on this side of the line.

These days are coming. I just feel it.
    "What sick, barbaric bastards.

It's one thing to use terrorism to make a political statement, but the wanton mutilation and suffering of innocents? How does that forward your political goals? When done in the name of religion, how does that earn you brownie points with God?

Fuck religious extremism. And especially fuck the "religion of peace." "

So, lagcsocialist supports terrorism AS LONG AS ITS FOR POLITICAL ENDS....

I'm sure the anti-liberty fools will keep pushing, but as long as we keep true to our principles, we'll win. I go to the range a lot and see more and more kids there with young parents teaching them to shoot, so for every indoctrinated, scardy-cat kid there will be 2 like this, ain't she cute in her pink shirt and all

    That's her rifle, she's 7

first time out at 15 yards, she's doing this at 50 yards now

If the government didn't fear the people, then why do they try so hard to constantly push through all kinds of gun laws?

As soon as the oppression reaches critical mass and millions of people (some armed) storm government buildings to arrest the traitors, what do you think the "government" can do?

    Nothing. Zip. Nada.

You think they'll call the National Guard or the Marines? They might, but our military is made up of American citizens and the majority will not fire on fellow Americans or obey illegal, unconstitutional orders.

The young, fully indoctrinated soldiers may try, but I'll bet their own brothers stop them (hopefully without the need for deadly force).

Sure, the "government" wins when 30 storm troopers break down a citizen's door at 3:00 AM. 30 to 1 always wins.

But, 100 million some gun owners versus "the government" works the other way around. THEY lose.

    That's some good shooting there!

Here's my daughter at age 11 holding what is now her pistol:

She's also a great shot with my Beretta M9 and she's not afraid of a 1911 (she shoots those too).

She looks like she has "attitude", i like that in a girl.

I think it's easy for folks to get worried about gun confiscations because of the propagandist media and a loud mouthed minority we are bombarded with. The reality is that there are far more parents like you and grandpas like me that just know a full scale gun grab will never take place in America

Oh yeah she has attitude. She's stubborn and hot headed. So am I. When we argue, she always wants the last word, and so do I, so we go at it sometimes literally for an hour or more.

She is a typical redhead firecracker. When her fuse is lit, it's best to run. Away. Fast.

She was 11 in that pic... now she's 15. She's grown from a firecracker into an H-bomb!
