Picked up a lamp today ($10) from a yard sale a few miles down the road. It was made out of this fired shell. I just wanted the shell. The lamp was absolutely terrible looking. Looked like a child did it. Made out of old crap they had around the house. An old wall light switch, cord from a radio and the light fixture was cut from a plastic yard christmas ornament. Even the screws were pulled from some household appliance and they didn't even match. That is all gone in the trash where it belongs. Now i will body fill the holes they made in the shell and try my best to paint match the repair. The shell is made of steel with a yellow paint like coating. All the writing is painted on by a machine, not imprinted and it is mostly all gone. Has a primer roughly an inch across and there is a tube attached to the primer that goes almost to the opening of the shell. Any Idea what this was fired from? Or what it would be? It is from an english speaking country. Possibly American and likely within the last 3 decades. It is now in the back yard drying because i had to hose 10 years worth of gross dust off it. The inside was filled with lint and old dog hair as well. Completely disgusting. I may even go out with some Mr clean and wash it down again.
