Anyone else notice that this is the WORST it has ever been aka Anti Gun Media Hysteria?

Newtown was bad. But now everywhere I see talk show people, entertainers, news anchors, all talking about Semi Auto Rifles as being "weapons of war". Since WHEN did the Brady bunch manage to infect everyone with their ignorant propaganda? This is very disturbing in that America suffers TWO ISIS attacks and both times GUN OWNERS and the NRA are the 'guilty parties' and the media rarely mentions ISIS. WTF?

Yep, instead of blaming ISIS for what that scum did in Orlando, they blame honest American gun owners.

Using the logic of our wonderful current federal government, WHY DON'T THEY JUST MAKE MURDER ILLEGAL??? WOULDN'T THAT STOP THINGS LIKE THIS BETTER THAN JUST BLAMING HONEST GUN OWNERS???

Sorry for yelling, but I am sick of our government saying more laws on honest people will stop already illegal murder. Making murder illegal didn't work either when a criminal is planning evil.

The LGBT groups should be turning away from the Dimocrats. The Dims have been in charge for the last 8 years and they haven't helped prevent any of these attacks from happening. As a matter of fact, they've made them possible.

According to a tweet from the Phoenix Chapter, they, already, see the light and are supporting Trump. They can see what the Dims are doing (or not doing as far as keeping Americans safe).

The difference this time is we have alternative media. The lies no longer go unchallenged.

Our country is shifting to the left. Many people are commies and don't even know it. Obama has emboldened the left wing and so has the limp dick Republican party. I saw yesterday Mitch McConnell says he is open to "Post Orlando" gun control. I really feel Trump is our only hope.

Start buying bulk ammo if you need it. I expect Obama to take some Executive action to limit the sale of ammunition before he is out of office. Likely IMHO a ban on Internet sales.

As far as the groups and individuals I hope that's the case
As far as the media goes that's a different ballgame
Of course this was a new high as far as body counts so that would be a factor

Good. I hope they get everything they want to buy. Learn to shoot and protect themselves, and then enjoy the sport.

The d traitors just gave up their filibuster on the promise of the r traitors for a vote on infringing the right to keep and bear arms.

Meanwhile in England.... someone shot and eventually killed a pm. Cameron and the rest are holding off on their campaigns for and against the brexit, but the news has let out that as the perp shot the pm he cried out something in support of brexit. This will be used, just like the hysteria over the Orlando incident to sway politicians and the public to the nwo agenda. In this case, England stays in the eu. You know, that eu where unelected and non Brit lawmakers get to make the laws in England? That eu where the eu parliament creates no legislation and always votes yes on the legislation that it is handed by their overlords.

The State of Virginia makes a good case study of what is going on. When I grew up in Northern VA it was a conservative State. Now every year the State shifts farther to the left as the percentage of white people goes down a point or two and Virginia is no longer conservative. What is happening is simple demographics. Obama is doing his best to accelerate the demographic shift but the end result seems inevitable.

I'm not sure if its been posted yet, but Trump has signaled his willingness to accept barring no-fly list people from buying guns. Additionally the NRA is putting out some signals that it too may be willing to cave on this issue. What strikes me is Trump's assertion that he supports the new law and will work to change the NRA's position on the issue. If the NRA caves, we'll know Trump manipulates them and not the other way around.

Ironically, the ACLU is now one of the loudest voices on opposition to a law of this type, citing fifth amendment concerns.

Maybe I'm not thinking correctly but I'm not seeing the problem with blocking people who are on a terrorist watch list from buying guns. Help me understand. Because if this guy was blocked legally from buying the gun, even if he still got one and did what he did. They wouldn't be able to blame the existing laws. It would be an "illegally" purchased firearm.

From a practical perspective he can still get his girlfriend/dad/friend to buy the gun for him.

From a liberty perspective, it's granting the president the authority to decide who can and cannot have access to a firearm without providing any due process to that individual, which represents a violation not only of the constitution but also of the most basic human rights (to be armed, and to receive due process).

In other words, the future president (from either party) could conceivably use this authority to unjustly disarm their political opponents and to maintain government/corporate cronyism, or even purposefully allow terrorists to acquire arms in order to further a political agenda, which may have actually happened in the Orlando case (in the most extreme possibility).

Basically I don't trust the government.

This is where the debate is coming from. There seems to be a rock and a hard place. And I agree fully because like the old saying if you give them an inch they will take a mile. For example the eu currently trying to ban flintlock muskets and Ireland just passed a law licensing and registering bb guns. So this inability to find a happy medium is causing a stalemate.
