Anyway, to be completely historically fair, I suppose I should have clarified that the ONLY KKK I speak of are the modern day douchebags who are just in bred idiots. It's NOT helpful in most discussions to assume that everyone knows the history and philosophies of any of those guys in the 19th century. THUS, it's not wise to pollute a very justified outrage against black misbehavior by bringing ANYTHING Klan related into it. It creates more problems and misunderstandings than it's worth.

Maybe if this were facebook. Even if you don't get it, we have few enough people here that we should be able to figure things out.

The 19'th century incarnation was composed of Civil War vets with legitimate grievances. The 1920's Klan was a reaction post-war immigration and political uncertainty. That was the era of the hyper-Americanized klan that punished groups for not waving the US flag hard enough. The modern "neo-nazi" Klan types originate in the 1960's. These are the douches that fly a rebel flag and a swastika side by side.

I wouldn't join any of them, however the 1870's incarnation should be studied in order to get an idea of what real turmoil in a post-war US looks like, and to learn how Americans of the past dealt with an unfriendly military occupation.

1. DOUBLING of the national debt in 8 years. $10Tril from 1776-2009 then another $10Tril from 2009-2017
2. Inciting black violence against police in general and whites specifically

About the Baton Rouge attacks - the media describes him as "a Marine". Oh, he killed these cops because he was a Marine? NO! It's because he's black and bought into all this Obama-sanctioned BLM mess.
