It's been all over the CCMSMPO these past few days and, appears to be a smear campaign against Trump, however, there are a few things most people aren't aware of:
This "leak" was totally illegal and may be collusion between the DNC and the IRS.
Trump didn't give permission for these to be released and, somehow, these came from the IRS, which is supposed to have almost bulletproof security. Yet, just in time to "help" Hillary Rotten Clinton, they surface. This isn't surprising as the IRS has done plenty of illegal things in the past, the most recent of which was to deny tax-exempt status to conservative organizations that came out against the Obama Regime.
And, it's more a case of the pot calling the kettle black: records show that Hitlery has done the same, exact thing they are accusing Trump of (which, by the way, isn't illegal), claiming losses in the past fiscal year.
And, the New York Times, knowingly, printed the returns that were "leaked." So, in essence, the NYT is complicit in the whole illegal operation, too.
Here's a quote from the article, defending their printing of the taxes (the idiot doesn't realize what she said here):
"Even my journalism students in my entry-level media law class know that the First Amendment provides an absolute legal shield to journalists who are sued for publishing lawfully obtained documents that are a matter of public concern."
Her use of the term, "publishing lawfully obtained documents" is wrong at the outset. Noneof these documents were "lawfully obtained." They were "hacked, or stolen", from the IRS. So, all her arguments about being protected by the First Amendment are without merit.
