Hurricane Matthew Is Coming

We don't need any more rain here in Eastern MD. These past few days gave us about 11 inches of rain and knocked out part of the road near my house and flooded a nearby town. What used to take me 8 minutes to get to work now takes me 50 minutes due to detours.

Another major rain event could knock out the bridge on this side of the road and leave my housing development and other local areas totally cut off.

Oh well. Just have to wait and see....

Stocking up on essentials before everyone else makes a run on them.

Looks like I need to be out well before 3pm tomorrow afternoon if I go anywhere. Got a buddy in Charlotte that could take me and the dog in. I'd rather go to Asheville but I got no hotel money and my friend there has cats (can't take dog).

Yeah. It would, definitely, be a good idea to move out of the way if you can. I've been to Charleston and it's not that high above sea level.

Will decide on Fri morning. The spazzout factor was so high YESTERDAY from all the transplants that live here now. For a storm that MIGHT hit on SATURDAY.

Will likely stay. If it's not Hugo II we're not leaving.

Thanks bud. Me and my family will decide by tomorrow whether or not to leave. Yesterday was a total clusterfuck and I got no sleep last night, so I'm resting today. Got everything packed except the guns. I'm curious how my Kia Rio is going to handle hundreds of pounds worth of firearms. I'm leaving most of the ammo because I have to, and hoping that it survives inside the ammo cans if the house gets fucked up.

Looks like Matthew is going to make himself a major pain in the ass. He's projected to track into SC, then swing out to sea and loop back southward towards FL....looks like it might be a one-two punch from the same hurricane, about a week apart.
Hurricanes have done similar things in the past.

I noticed that the photos I posted keep updating to the most recent predictions by WSI. I guess I should have saved them first as JPEGS, then posted them here. Oh well. I'll try better next time.
