    Thumbs up BM Crooked River

Picked this one up a month or so back and really like it. Benchmade has been expanding their "Hunt series" of knives and the Crooked River is part of that expansion.

With 4" of S30v steel it's a good size blade. The clip point reminds me a lot of the Buck 110 which has been a hunting mainstay for half a century. The axis lock is a proven design and one of the strongest available so safety and security are a given with this model.

I don't know what type of wood the scales are made from but they look and feel great! There is another model with grey G-10 scales if that is more to your liking. Over all this is a well made knife that should be at home in the field or the job site. Some have referred to it as a Buck 110 for the 21st century. Not sure I would go that far but it is a heck of a blade that I think can stand on its own merits. Check it out if you get the chance.

Yeah that is a very good classic look, just great. Wood and steel CANNOT be beat for the great look.
