From what I understand and watching liveleak most are using go-pro cameras. FWIW.

I was using one of these for a couple years until I started having issues with it randomly shutting off on it's own (now it resides in the glove box). I loved it before that because the video quality was great night and day and it caught all the idiots who like to pull out in front of me.
