This is what happens when a state does not "infringe" on the right of the people to own arms but controls what they can and cannot own. Convoluted logic ends in convoluted engineering.

Sometimes, it's just easier to do what you want, own what you want, but tell no one what you have....

Restrictive states force people to do this kind of thinking.

Since the state is going out of its way to make all gun owners criminals, what's the point of waiting?

This right here. Honestly if I lived in California, and didn't have the option to move out, then I'd simply take a trip to a neighboring state, buy a few guns over there, and lock them away in a hiding space in my home. Screw the Commiefornia government.

I'm not so sure that would work. Md has banned a few "assault weapons." While talking to a dealer in DE, I asked why I wasn't able to purchase a MD banned gun from him as I was wondering if it were some law DE passed, or DE was just "helping" MD out. He said it was neither. He said it was a federal law that another state couldn't sell a "banned gun" to a resident of the state that banned them.

Not sure if that were really true or not.

What about private transfers for long arms?

As far as I know, private is private. Just have to be careful of "sting" operations. As long as you know the seller, you should be good to go. The rest is chance.
