    Question Deal on an FNAR?

I'm familiar with the Browing BAR but don't recall hearing much about the FNAR?

Found this one and given the price for the basic rifle at Buds Guns is $1,500 this looks like a deal at $1,050 if the rifle is any good.

I should add that the exact rifle at Bud's is out of stock so I don't know the price. The only FNAR they have in stock is $1,500 but it's a little different then the one I linked to. The one I found would be cheaper than most 7.62 AR's but mags are likely more expensive.

ghey. i've taken one apart, all you're paying for is the FN name.

buy a remington semi rifle and convert mags for it and save half the $$$.

I like FN rifles, and was looking forward to the FNAR as I was looking to add another .308 to my STG-58, but after handling the FNAR I was disappointed as it just didn't feel comfortable.

Of course that is just me, and I would really like to shoot one to see if I could overcome the fact that it didn't fit me if it was a nice enough shooter.

Meah ... too ugly to own! I'd get an AR10 variant.

never seen or touched one but I have read that it is a waste of time.

Thanks for the replies. Didn't find that much negative about the platform itself. I still think for this particular rifle and accessories $1,050 is a pretty good deal. Mags seem to run $66 regardless of capacity which is double or triple the cost of a .308 AR type magazine so that's a negative.

If I didn't have my CETME I might be more inclined to get my feet wet with this one.

If you have a good CETME you've got the caliber covered. However I would expect any .308 style of AR10 type rifle to way out shoot the CETME in accuracy.
