Even if they wanted to do this, I don't think checkpoints are implementable for commuter trains. Certainly not for VRE or MARC trains which service Washington DC or the DC metro system. That being said, DHS has had armed people riding these trains for years and occasionally sweeps them with a dog team. I once witnessed a 3 man team in unmarked blue jump suits board a DC metro car and question a man who was emitting radiation (apparently from a medical test) so there is some security in place in DC however minimal.

It's a shame that US and Russian relations are at cold war levels right now. We should be working together on defeating radical Islamic terrorism. It's the same exact situation we had during World War 2; the nazies wanted to destroy both of our civilizations. Muslims want to do the same to us today. The sick thing is that if Trump had a meeting with Putin, and emphasized the need to work together; his political opponents and the media would scream and say "Trump is a Russian agent!"

Yup. And all this is the Dimocrat's fault. The blame lies squarely with them. If we were on friendlier terms with the Russians, I have an idea we could accomplish far more than we're accomplishing right now.

That's why we have to make DAMN sure that we all show up for the midterm election in 2018. We can't allow the Demonrats to gain an INCH in the House or Senate!

So far Trump has stayed the course set by the 0bamaregime. The only 0bamaregime regs Trump has rescinded are some epa ones that profit his friends whose profits depended upon these regs going away. Well done, President Trump, well done!
