    Thumbs up Wish me luck

Going to an auction this weekend and got my eye on a few items:

    Finn M91 Mosin Nagant.

    S&W M57. There are two, both blue, N serial #, one 4"and one 6". I'm wanting the 4" more than the 6".

S&W M610. This just so happens to be another of the 5" models like the one I picked up earlier his year. You almost never see these let alone two locally in a few months.

S&W Model 646. This is a revolver in .40 S&W that they made back in 2000. It's got a 4" bbl and titanium cylinder. Only made like 300 of them. Pretty scarce so I'm interested.

Ruger Blackhawk. One in .30 carbine and a convertible in 38/40 & 10mm.

Colt Double Eagle in 10mm. I know but it's a 10 so I gotta check it out.

Savage Model 99. Two of them in .308. Ones a 99 and the other is a 99E.

Sig Sauer P220 Elite, .45 ACP.

Conan Arms in .357. Really would like this one.

There are a lot more plus ammo and of course Buck knives but these are the ones I'm most interested in. I'm planning on leaving with at least the 4" S&W M57 and the Finn M91. I sold off probably 6 Finn M91's and an M91/24 and wish I'd have kept at least one so if this one checks out its coming home with me.

Other than those two and maybe some Bucks I'll just have to wing it and see what things are selling for.

My thoughts, 6" is better than 4. The 57 I have has the 8-3/8ths inch barrel will give me 1410 fps with a 210 gr. Jacketed HP bullet. My point is the longer barrel yields more speed and energy. I also think they balance better. 4" is old school carry gun mentality. Nobody should be carrying an N frame wheel gun for CCW in the 21st century.

The main reason I was interested in the 4" M57 is because I already have a 6".

OK, now that makes some sense of it. Still nothing like having 2 of one thing.

Photobucket has been a bitch to use. Here are a couple of pics of my early 80's S&W Model 57-1 in .41 mag. I like it a lot.

Beautiful older S&W, Richard. What are the grips made of? I thought they mostly used American walnut but those look more like coco bolo with that graining.

The Finnish M91 went for $200.
The Belgian Browning BAR in 30.06 with Leopold scope went for $850.00 Had my eye on this one. Beautiful setup!
They had a Remington Nylon 66 that went for $325.00. Makes me appreciate mine more now. Think I paid $99 for it 30 years ago.
The S&W 696 revolver in 44 Special went for $750.
A CZ52 pistol with holster and extra mag went for $425.00. Thought that was high.
    A blued, 6" S&W M19-3 with after market grips went for $650.
Another Remington Nylon 66 went for $400. Liking mine even more.
The S&W M610, 6.5" bbl in 10mm went for $1,150 which was still a bargain in IMHO.
The Ruger Blackhawk convertible, 38/40-10mm went for $600. Almost got this one.
S&W M544 Texas Sesquicentennial in 44/40 went for $700 with case.
    S&W 625-8 in 45 ACP went for $700.
Coonan Arms .357 with 5:bbl went for $725. It had a lot of holster wear but since it's stainless it might have cleaned up pretty nicely.
A very nice Remington 1903 with sling went for $600.
    Savage 99 in .308 $500.
S&W M329 Scadnium in 44 mag went for $600. Talk about recoil.
    S&W M646 in .40 S&W went at $1,150.00 I dropped off at $1000.
A 4" lued Colt Trooper MKIII went for $625.
Colt MKII Series 90 Double Eagle in .10mm topped out at $600.
    A 2" Colt Cobra brought $600.
    S&W 25-2 in 45 ACP went for $525.
    The 6" S&W Model 57 went for $725.
    A S&W 625-2 in 45 ACP went for $600.
This one through me for a loop. S&W M650 with dual cylinders and cranes in .22 / .22mag, 3"bbl went for $1,300. Mot up on the S&W rimfires so maybe this was a pretty rare?

Over all I thought things went higher for the most part then what I figured but then again except for most of the S&W items I was out of my knowledge base.
