    Possible 86,000 Garands to CMP!!!

I sure hope this happens. 1944 crates, still in cosmo wrap.

Depending on where you read this, it does look like a done deal!

We can only hope! This never would have happened under Zero's watch.

Not seeing anything on the CMP site, yet. It would be great if this happens. I would consider getting another M1 if this happens, especially if they are older.

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

Have you heard about the new corduroy pillows? They're making head lines!

From looking around out in town it seems that CMP prices are at least competitive, if not a little better than what I see in pawn shops and gun stores, at least for a run of the mill M1. Their "Correct Grade" and "Collector Grade" seem expensive, but for shooters the prices don't seem out of line.

Like I said before the internet drives the price. There are no deals.

They sure are a long way from the $200 bucks I paid for my first CMP M1 Garand. It was a Winchester receiver with an 1968 dated Springfield Arsenal barrel on it.
